A home
for our stories.

A place we make. A question we share. A gesture we learn together.

Dar Maarifa holds the traces of these encounters. Through them, we explore what becomes possible when we trust our humanity.

We learn from one another.

When Humanity Becomes Our Mirror

I heard different stories, but what they all had in common, truly, was that everything comes back to this: thank God we have one another.

And thank God we have one another, and that we are able to be there for each other, whatever the circumstances.

What may appear on the surface is that the water came and flooded the villages and the cities. But, in truth, we drowned in nothing other than our own humanity.

The water became the mirror that allowed us to recognise the depth of our value to one another. Not the value of each of us based on what we individually have, but the value we hold for one another simply because we are together.

And when I say we, I mean all of us together: children, young people, elders, women and men, as well as the authorities, who are themselves part of us, just as we are part of them.

What brings us together is the same spirit, the same essence: our humanity.
